Okay, I know that is a fancy title - sorry. But everyone uses computers nowadays (unless you are reading this blog in the New York Times print edition - does anyone even read newsPAPERs anymore?). So everyone knows what a mouse cursor is, right? You know what I mean - that funny-looking, white or black, crooked arrow that sometimes has a mind of its own as it skips happily across your screen. Yeah, that one.
So we know what it is, we use it every day. But have you ever wondered how the heck it moves around your screen? Well Japanese researchers have developed a way for you to see 'behind the scenes' as it were (got to hand it to the Japanese). At this website, you can move your mouse around and 'see' how the cursor actually follows your movements. Amazing what technology can do! Enjoy!
PS - turn up the sound a bit, it makes the whole experience come alive. Also, make sure you have Flash player installed (most browsers do). If not, go to Adobe's website to get it.
PPS - almost peed my pants!
